Outside of high quality fakes (which can, in their own right, be expensive), most fakes can be spotted by people who are into watches.

Low quality fakes don’t look like the models they try to emulate. The see through case back will show a cheap movement, not the real thing. The dial and hands won’t have the same detail, neither will the cases.

If you are dealing with colleagues who are really knowledgeable about watches and you have a low quality fake, I think they might know.

Something else to consider is that if you get a fake mechanical watch, there’s no warranty…it will be hard to service as who knows what movement is in there! So, when the lubrication inevitably dries up, that’s the end of your watch.

I’d say, get a watch you can afford – there are plenty of good looking midrange watches…be happy with it.

If someone has the real thing, they can spot a fake. Why not save up and buy the real one? It should last a long time and you will have something that you can pass on down to your kids. Just a small sacrifice like bringing your lunch to work instead of eating out everyday will probaly save you close to a grand a year. You can also cut back on eating out for dinner, and make your own coffee instead of drinking starbucks everyday to save another grand in a years time.
It might take a while to save up for the real thing, but it is better then people thinking that you are trasy because you have a fake watch. Just get the best that you can afford, and save for the watch you want

Don’t get a replica, just make the dimple in your tie more pronounced!

If you own a Rolex you can spot a replica 10 feet away and that will embarrass you tremendously.
If you are young and new to the firm, they don’t expect you to have the same things they do….translate your desire to acquire material goods into persistence and motivation…..then you will realize your goal! Best of Luck

They are not legal really. And the fakes that look exactly like the real thing are usually quite expensive as well and you might as well spend the extra and get the real deal.

People who have the money to buy the real thing can tell the difference between the real and the fakes.

Just buy a nice watch and don’t worry about the designer.

To tell you the truth replica watches are somewhat illegal. Yeas they look exactly like the original but please make sure you know where to get them from.

Well my advise please do not follow their taste as from my personal experience the rich somehow knows that it is a replica. Trust me… Some of your firends at your workplace might even be watch collectors. Jus be yourself and buy a watch that is good long lasting quality and also look presentable.

From what I’ve seen, they are really really hard to tell if they are real or replica. The replica watches are made to look just like the real one. An average person won’t be able to tell the difference. Unless they know all about the tags and the serial numbers and the certificate and all that comes with the watch…

As far as what to do, I don’t think you need to go get yourself a replica watch… just enjoy your own luxury stuff on the level that you feel comfortable with.
Since I surf, having a surfing watch that doesn’t scratch my board is more luxury to me than having a rolex!

los of people can tell (like how women can tell fake designer bags and fake uggs ((like the ones from payless ewww)) ) why a watch tho?get like a black berry or a bluetooth cuz their just watches but a kool phone is awesomeee
