Lucky Charm Wedding Theme?

My fiance and I are going round and round thinking of wedding themes. I'm Irish and he's Italian and we are very much both into our heritage. Is there a way to combine these heritages by having a "lucky charm" wedding theme. I was thinking of having the table names be lucky charms such as a clover, horseshoe, wishbone, etc. Any other good luck charms that would be appropriate? Any suggestions on how to accommodate both of our heritages, would be greatly appreciated...or if you have another theme that accommodates both parties...thanks!

I like the idea - but I do not see how it incoporates the Italian hertiage into the wedding.
I think the charms idea is cute. You could use stars, hearts, moons, in addition to the other charms that you listed.
I think a cute idea for incorporating both hertiages would be to set up a food station with irish food - potatos, corn beef, cabbage, Irish soda bread, etc.
Then you could set up one with Italian food - lasagne, pasta, garlic bread, etc.
Maybe find a way to mix the two flags together for decorations...
You should look up Irish themed weddings and Italian themed weddings - then figure out a way to combine them.
