Any advice on choosing a set of sports motorcycle leathers please?

I know the basics - the famous makes, how to check they fit etc. But are there any less well known (cheaper?) manufacturers selling in the UK market who are worth seeking out.

I'm after full grain leather, ideally a two piece suit, but I'd consider one piece.

Are there any good manufacturers in the middle of the market? We all know Dainese etc. but what about Spidi, Buffalo and Texport (etc etc etc!!)?

Spidi and Buffalo are good makes for the price (I have a set a buffalo leather and their every so comfy). I have heard that Alpinestars is supposed to be quite good make aswell but I haven't tried them before so I wouldn't know exactly.
I would recommend that you stay clear of the frank thomas clothing (Also known as Lewis), we used to sell this brand in our shop and every piece of clothing which was sold came back due to rips or not being weather proof, etc and they aint the best looking clothing either!

I would recommend that you pop into your local Hein Gericke or another local bike shop and when you have found a leather you like, ask if you can try it on and if its comfortable then go for it. Or alternatively find a make you like and then visit ebay as some dealers will sell their end of line or old stock on there and you can sometimes get really good bargins.
