When you go to any 3rd World country and check a local market, you can find $1 DVD disks, Pawasonic and Panaconic radios, $10 genuine Rolex watches. That’s another product of the same type. Russian watch collectors may die of laughing if you try to impress them with this “Russian diver”. The Russian letters read”IMF”, when it is supposed to be “VMF” – voenno-morskoj flot (navy fleet) . IMF is nowhere to be found, some garbage abbreviation in Russian letters Invicta decided to use to impress kids.

The picture for this item has “Swiss Made”. Why does mine say Swiss Movt? Maybe it should say Swiss cheese. The abbreviation makes it look cheap. It also feels cheap. It is much lighter than I expected (almost as if it were made entirely of plastic). It was a lightning deal, but I don’t think I’ll wear this thing. Maybe it’ll make a great gag gift–I will send it to a very petite person. No more Invicta products for me.

The watch I received is not the watch in the pictures… There is a HUGE difference between “Swiss Made” and “Swiss Mvt”. When I called Amazon about it all they could offer was a return and the phone number to the manufacturer. I will be calling them tomorrow to complain and will be returning this watch as soon as possible!

Do NOT trust the photo in this picture. This is a classic “bait and switch”! This is NOT Swiss Made as the photo of both the front and back of this watch suggest. It is a Swiss Movt (movement). For people that know watches and understand this, just be aware. Still not a bad deal at the $75.00 I paid, but not thedeal I thought I was making.

What kind of diving do the Rusian military do?! My real diver watch is 1000 feet or 3 times of this so called diver. In fact, here is what even Amazon says about watches of the Russian category:
“Water resistance 100 meters (333 feet): It is wearable around household sinks, while playing sports, and while swimming or poolside diving. It should NOT be worn while scuba diving.”
So no scuba diving and not a diving watch even by Amazon’s definition. Deceptive advertising.
